Inked Wednesday #118 – ALIEN, HARRY POTTER, and More

Remember the part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows when Xenophilius Lovegood told Harry and co. the story of the Deathly Hallows? The live-action film switched to a haunting animation for “The Tale of the Three Brothers.” It was an effective way to illustrate the tale, and as it turns out, the art in the animated sequence makes for beautiful tattoos–like this one:

Let’s look at more geeky ink. Scroll on down to the gallery below to see three tattoos belonging to Lady Raptor. They feature an artful Ripley from Alien, Catwoman, and a clever Jurassic Park design. You’ll also see a Dragon Ball Z tattoo.

Did any of you get a tattoo for the New Year? Tell me about it in the comments, or better yet, follow the below instructions and send me a picture.

If you have nerdy ink on your skin or you’re a tattoo artist that applies pop culture, STEM, music, or other nerd-inspired ink on a regular basis, then please hit me up because I’d like to highlight you in a future Inked Wednesday gallery. You can get in touch with me via email at [email protected]. Send me photos of the tattoos you’d like me to feature (the higher resolution, the better) and don’t forget to let me know the name of your tattoo artist if you have it, as well the name of the shop he or she works out of. If you are the tattoo artist, give me links to your portfolios and/or Instagram accounts so I can share them with our readers.
