Funko Doesn’t Have to ‘Splain I LOVE LUCY Funko Pop! Figures

It’s been almost 70 years since comedian Lucille Ball and her husband Desi Arnaz debuted I Love Lucy on the CBS network, essentially creating what we know today as the template for the American sitcom. And unlike other sitcoms of that era, I Love Lucy still holds up and remains beloved by TV watchers today. In fact, some 40 million people still watch I Love Lucy in the states every year. That’s what you call real pop culture longevity. And now, our good friends at Funko have announced the very first wave in their vinyl Pop! line featuring the characters from the classic series.

The first wave of I Love Lucy Pop! figures includes Lucy Ricardo in her iconic blue and white polka dot dress, along with her bandleader husband, Ricky Ricardo, holding his classic conga drum. Additionally, you can find Lucy in the outfit she wore during her stint working at the candy factory from maybe the show’s most beloved episode, “Job Switching.” As is usual with Funko products, cool exclusives are included in this wave; they feature black and white versions of Lucy at Target (polka dot dress), and Barnes & Noble (the candy factory outfit).

Hopefully, a second wave of I Love Lucy figures will feature Fred and Ethel Mertz. And maybe even Lucy as the “Vitameatavegamin” television commercial spokeswoman? We have our fingers crossed for that one. The first I Love Lucy wave of Pop! vinyls hits stores this August, and you can check out images of each of the figures in the below gallery.

Are you eager to put the Ricardos on your Funko Pop! shelf? Be sure to let us know in the comments.
