Hot Toys Just Revealed Its New DOCTOR STRANGE Movie Figure

In just under three months, comic book movie fans will be introduced to Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, the newest hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Of course, that means that new Doctor Strange statues and figures are coming with the film, and Hot Toys may have the best one yet!

During the Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong 2016 festival, Hot Toys offered fans an advance look at the prototype for its upcoming 1/6 scale Doctor Strange collectible figure, which uses Cumberbatch’s likeness and the costume he wears in the movie.

Doctor Strange Hot Toys

It should be noted that Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange costume isn’t an exact replica of his comic book counterpart, but it’s pretty close! This figure comes with Strange’s Cloak of Levitation, the Eye of Agamotto, and a book of magic spells. But is it the Darkhold or a more benevolent grimoire?

Hot Toys didn’t reveal the release date or the pricing information for this figure, but it’s probably a safe bet that it will not be cheap. Hot Toys tends to deal with high end collectibles, but you really do get what you pay for, and this looks like an amazing recreation.

There’s no word yet on whether Doctor Strange will be the only Hot Toys collectible figure from the new film, but we think that Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Baron Mordo and Mads Mikkelsen’s Kaecilius would be great choices. Perhaps even Tilda Swinton’s Ancient One can get in on the fun. We’d also really love to see the Dread Dormammu figure from the eventual sequel to this film. Make it happen, Hot Toys!
