Hot Topic and Her Universe Unveil Their New Marvel Collection

Hot Topic and Her Universe are pulling out all the stops for Avengers: Age of Ultron. They’ve teamed up to create a line of sleek and stylish apparel that is basically everything I’ve dreamed of wearing. Don’t get me wrong, t-shirts, leggings, and costume dresses or tunics are fine choices when it comes to fangirl clothing (and wow, do I love that there are so many options these days), but I want more. And this Marvel collection is what more looks like. The Avengers-inspired looks are downright dreamy.

The line looks the way it does thanks to the Her Universe Fashion Show held at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con. The winners of that contest, Amy Beth Christenson and Andrew MacLaine, got the opportunity to design this collection and truly made it fashion-forward. For example, take a gander at these Captain America and Loki dresses:

If you’d like to go more subtle, you can. The crown jewel of the line is a black and dark red Black Widow sheath dress that barely hints at the hero’s costume. The black Black Widow jacket is a touch more obvious but still inconspicuous enough to wear any/everywhere. And don’t even get me started on the beauty of the Tony Stark bomber jacket.

The pricing for the new chic line is as follows:

Captain America Halter Dress, $59.50
Thor Sailor Dress, $59.50
Stark Industries Bomber Jacket, $54.50
Black Widow Dress, $44.50
Black Widow Belted Jacket, $64.50
Loki Halter Dress, $59.50

If you’re already itching to add all these looks to your wardrobe, you can pre-order them now. The collection will be available in stores and available to ship online on May 12.
