You ever get the feeling you’ve seen Owen Wilson play that character before? Well, you might not be that far off, as this new NSFW supercut of his most repeated lines shows. At the very least, a lot of his characters are working from the same lexicon.

Be honest, you love Owen Wilson, but you can still admit that no one else in the history of cinema, and probably life, has said “crazy as a road lizard” once, let alone over and over again.

“What are you talking about?” you might say, “C’mon, everyone says ‘crazier than a road lizard.’” And while I appreciate you reading this, Owen, it just isn’t true.

I’m not trying to be too hard on Mr. Wilson, of course; as the video, created by the YouTube channel Owenergy Studios, shows, while Wilson might tend to fall back on some of the same lines of dialogue, he somehow manages to be funny and charming all the same. What he can accomplish with a simple “wow” is probably only matched in the history of film by a good “whoa” from Keanu Reeves. Besides, who can blame a guy for reusing the same line or two? It’s certainly made some other people a lot of money. Has any acting career every been promoted by a single line quite like this one?

And before you think that only actors are susceptible to using such crutches, just remember that even the most prolific of writers can fall victim to the same dependency.
