Holiday Gift Guide 2015: The Science Nerd

The science nerd is a different species of nerd. Sure, the love of Star Trek and extreme pedantry are there, but there’s also a passion for education, the process of science itself, and what a parsec actually measures (it’s a unit of distance!). So what do you get the nerd in your life when exactly what is nerdy about it is important?

In the gallery below, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite scienspired gifts we’ve seen over the course of the year. They range from silly to serious, and from educational to “whoa.” There should be something for your desk, your kids, your body mind, and your mind.

Two of the gifts below will be featured in our giant annual holiday giveaway that you can enter next week. Last year’s gift giveaway totaled more than $5,000-worth of geeky goodness, so make sure to check out all the possibilities in our other gift guides running all this week! Which item do you most want to find in your stocking? Let us know how you’ll be making your wallet weep this year in the comments below.

Be sure to check out our complete holiday gift guide coverage.

And we’ll be rolling out even more gift guides every day this week!
