By now, you’ve heard that the Green Arrow will be a TV series on The CW this Fall, Arrow. They’ve released a trailer, so this is your first look at it: preparation, exercise, upside down dangling, and the fateful bow and arrow, as Oliver Queen becomes the DC Comics vigilante you’ve come to know. That’s Canadian actor Stephen Amell as Queen/Arrow; you’d know him from, er, well, he was recurring on Private Practice and did a bunch of guest shots on stuff like CSI and 90210 and New Girl and Queer as Folk (U.S. version), and he was on Rent-a-Goalie, if you get the Canadian pay channel Showcase.
Personally, I’m not buying the tennis ball-piercing act, because the balls wouldn’t bounce that high that slowly even for someone with that quick a trigger, but if you’re going to buy any of the rest of this, I suppose you have to just go with it. I have to overcome my suspension-of-disbelief difficulties.

Hello Oliver Queen! I think the CW has some sort of cloning facility or genetic compatibility breeding system. Everyone on every show is ridiculously beautiful.
Green Arrow is one of my favorite DC characters. (Second only to Batman)
I hope this series follows a Good storyline.
I want to see Merlyn and Black Canary in there.

Really? Go watch some clips of Ninja Warrior on G4 (originally called Sasuke in Japan). Its an obstacle course competition, and that is part of it. The “Salmon Ladder” isn’t even one of the hardest obstacles.
Has a very “Smallville” feel to it. I liked Smallville so I’m cool with that. I’m not an archer so I’m not super woried about something like that. I want good interesting stories and likeable characters. This isn’t reality or even anything like reality. It is based on fantasy. I just want it to be fun. I do wonder if the flying up pull up trick is possible or if that is done with wires.
I hope they get archery right, unlike Avengers.
