HEARTHSTONE To Hit Android Tablets By 2015

Simmer down, Android-based Hearthstone players– the wait is almost over. Blizzard gave the tentative release window for Hearthstone on Android tablets via their Battle.net blog today. According to the game studio, the world’s Android tablets will get some Hearthstone love by the the end of this year.

“Throughout the past year, many of you have been asking about the release date for Hearthstone on Android,” Hearthstone Community Manager Christina Sims stated. “The team has been hard at work to bring Hearthstone to that platform, and is making great progress. We’re taking things one step at a time and we’ve got our sights set on a release for Android tablets, our next new platform, before the end of the year; we’ve just got a few more mana crystals to polish and some Angry Chickens to chase down.”

Sure, this isn’t the definitive date that we were hoping for, but at least we know for sure we that this is going to happen in 2014. A wise thinker would suggest that this could be leading up to a sweet Biizzcon reveal. On the other hand– or which ever hand you use to play games on your smartphone– iPhone and Android mobile users will still have to wait until early next year before they get to throw their Hearthstone addiction into their pockets. The game already eclipsed a user base of 20 million players worldwide on just the iPad alone, so one can only imagine how much that will increase as it continues to expand to multiple platforms.
