HEARTHSTONE To Add Alleria Windrunner To Game, Voiced By Michele Morrow

The true fate of famed orc-hunter Alleria Windrunner has been unknown for quite some time in the Warcraft lore. Last seen in Warcraft II as she ventured into Draenor, the high-elf huntress has not been seen since. She has yet to appear in World of Warcraft, but there have been hints to her return here and there. Well, it seems we finally know where Alleria has been all this time: hanging out at the tavern playing cards. Blizzard has announced that Alleria Windrunner will be one of the new heroes being added to their wildly popular Warcraft card game, Hearthstone.

As told via YouTube, Blizzard will release Alleria as one of two new cosmetic heroes that can be purchased for the game’s various classes. The other they announced was Medivh, the accursed mage. (Ooh!) Perhaps the most exciting bit of news that came out of the announcement was the reveal that our good friend and Leader for the Nerdist Guild, Michele Morrow will be voicing Alleria for the game.

Michele Morrow

Those not familiar with watching Michele kick all kinds of ass on our Twitch channel may recognize her from hosting the BlizzCon digital ticket last year. This is not Michele’s first venture into Warcraft, though: in the past two expansions of World of Warcraft, Blizzard included NPC’s in reference to Morrow in return for her highly publicized fandom and WoW following.

The Alleria and Medivh characters will be available through the Hearthstone store soon. Are you looking forward to Michele’s in game debut? Let us know in the comments below.
