Hear The Amazing Story of ‘Shia LaBeouf’, Cannibal

Oh Shia. Has the twenty-first century yielded another public figure so hungry for love and yet so quick to spurn its warm embrace? Whether he’s making unauthorized films based on the work of cartoonist Dan Clowes, plagiarizing his apology for said films, wearing a paper bag on his head to film premieres, or just turning himself into an art installation piece and inviting the public to berate him, the nutty Beef has wormed his way into our stone-cold hearts. Now singer-songwriter Rob Cantor is exploring a new side of Shia: the side that eats people. Cantor has partnered with the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles, the West Los Angeles Children’s Choir, the Argus Quartet, a dance troupe, two aerial silk artists, several oversized Papercraft Shia Heads, and LaBeouf himself to tell “the true story of an actual cannibal.” The resulting video performance must be seen to be believed.

Yes, it’s just a normal Tuesday night for Shia LaBeouf. The Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles has certainly proven itself to be a game bunch of fellows, having also performed the polarizing “We Saw Your Boobs” at the opening of the 2013 Academy Awards ceremony with Seth MacFarlane. But their work here with Cantor easily surpasses musical work.

What do you think? Are you ready to forgive LaBeouf for his past transgressions both on (*cough* Crystal Skull *cough*) and off screen? Has he made you laugh at last? Let us know in the comments below!

I think it’s messed up that so many people know that Shia Labeouf has been killing people and the cops can’t do anything about it. Celebrities really are above the law in this country.

  2. gridsleep says:

Didn’t the People’s Ballet perform this for Nixon when he went to Beijing? Gosh, it feels like I remember it from only yesterday.

  3. joe says:

I do like Rob Cantor’s music. Old Bike is a great song.
