HBO Puts First Episode of LAST WEEK TONIGHT WITH JOHN OLIVER on YouTube

Last night, John Oliver finally made a return to his rightful place behind a (satirical) news desk. Last Week Tonight with John Oliver bowed last night on HBO, but if you missed it and want to see it for yourself, HBO has put the entire first episode on Last Week Tonight‘s YouTube Channel, where you can see John take Fox News, Donald Sterling, lack of coverage of India’s elections, food corporations lying about their labeling, and the NSA to task.

Some have already called it “the fifth episode in a week of The Daily Show“, which has some truth to it. However, there are no correspondents, and the interview was done remotely, letting Last Week Tonight shine through John Oliver’s spectacles. Also, you can’t help but enjoy the absence of a bleep when John chooses to drop an F-bomb.
