Get Your First Look at the HARRY POTTER: HOGWARTS MYSTERY Mobile Game

If you’ve been waiting oh so patiently for your acceptance letter to Hogwarts, it’s finally your day. A new mobile game from Jam City and Portkey Games, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s games label focused on wizarding world, will take the player on a roleplaying experience as a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The first teaser trailer for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery reveals a game where you can join one of the four Houses, duel, go to class, and interact with the likes of Hagrid and Snape.

In-universe, the game is set after Harry Potter‘s birth but before he arrives at Hogwarts. You’ll be going to class with familiar faces such as Nymphadora Tonks and Bill Weasley. The game includes relationship quests and bigger plot arcs, and you can customize your avatar and improve skills throughout. The best part about that avatar customization? You get to pick a pet. I’m so going to get a cat.

Hogwarts Mystery will launch this spring, but if you can’t wait until then to attend your first class at Hogwarts, you can get a sneak peek in late January. The mobile game will have a presence at A Celebration of Harry Potter, happening at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida from January 26-28. Fans in attendance will be able to play the game and get a look behind-the-scenes during two panels.

Are you clearing space on your mobile device to get ready for the release of Hogwarts Mystery? What part of the game sounds most appealing to you? Take a Portkey to the comments and let us know.
