This HARRY POTTER-Themed Gymnastics Routine is Magical

The best part of being a fan is the desire to incorporate what we love into our daily lives. For most of us, it means wearing outfits or accessories that reflect our favorite movies, books, or TV shows. In Axelle Klinckaert’s case, it means bringing her love of Harry Potter into her gymnastic routine. The 17-year-old professional gymnast is known for her artistic style and unique music choices. Thanks to Bustle and Teen Vogue, we were able to witness the magic of her routine at the 2018 DTP Cup in Stuttgart, Germany.

Wearing her finest Gryffindor colors (we see you), Klinckaert demonstrates her amazing talent to popular Harry Potter tunes, including “Hedwig’s Theme” by John Williams. And it’s not just the music—Her choreography pays homage to the books and films that defined most of our childhoods, what with graceful owl movements, powerful flips, and wand duels. Dumbledore would be proud.

This routine follows an unfortunate injury that took Klinckaert out of the 2016 Olympics in Rio. After a year of rehabilitation and a few Skele-Gro potions, it seems that she is back in the game and ready for the next Olympic competition. Luckily, there will be no dragons to fight during the 2020 Summer Olympics (that we know of).

All kidding aside, it’s really exciting to see professional athletes incorporate their geek pride into their routines. Hopefully, we will get to see more whimsical music and choreography from Klinckaert during the next Summer Olympic Games. What are ways you include some of your favorite fandoms into your daily life?
