HARRY POTTER Fans Can Dine in Hogwarts’ Great Hall This Christmas

Ever since Warner Bros. opened the Harry Potter Studio Tour in London, they’ve been updating it and adding new sights and experiences. They’re going all out this holiday season by offering a special dinner in the Hogwarts Great Hall—I’m not even kidding. The Great Hall is arguably one of the most magnificent rooms in all of Hogwarts—and yeah, I’ve possibly had extensive discussions about this with friends. In the books by J.K. Rowling and their film adaptations, the Great Hall was a gathering place where memorable events like house-sorting and holiday celebrations happened. And you can go there in real life.

The dinner will take place on December 3 for muggles 18 and over, where guests will sit and dine on the actual set used during filming. Because it will occur in the Christmas season, the Great Hall will be dressed accordingly, decorated as it was for the holidays in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. From the press release: “Trees adorned with golden baubles shaped like moons and partridges will line the set, while a replica feast will sit atop the long tables (including flaming Christmas puddings and hams studded with cherries).”

As far as the menu, guests will receive welcome drinks and canapés and dine upon a two course Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. Once the plates are cleared, guests will be able to explore the rest of the studio’s tour and eat dessert on the new Platform 9 3/4. But it doesn’t end there: attendees will also be given butterbeer while they visit Diagon Alley and see the Hogwarts castle covered in snow. The evening will end with music, dancing, and a cash bar. Tickets are £230/$348 per person, which honestly, is less than I expected. You can book your reservations through Warner Bros.

Are any of you planning to attend this special event? If so, can you pack me in your suitcase? I’ll try not to take up much room. Head to the comments and let me know you you’ll be attending.
