Starz has released a teaser trailer for the upcoming series Outlander. The series is an adaptation of author Diana Gabaldon’s book of the same name.
This teaser looks to be mostly set in 18th century Scotland, and there’s a shot of Claire, played by Caitriona Balfe, kneeling in front of the stones that send her back in time in the first place. The tagline is “What if the future.. was the past?”; very appropriate for any time traveler, really, but Clare has a family and life in the present, and eventually will have to somehow make the two work together.
The show does not yet have an official premiere date, but Starz says that it’s coming this Summer.
This is so exciting! Can’t wait for the series! Such an exciting time for us all!

Looking forward to this show. Everything I’ve seen so far gives me confidence it’s going to do the books justice!
SO EXCITED!!! The books were fantastic and it looks like Starz might actually be doing them justice. Now if only it will come out faster
CAN NOT WAIT for this show to come out! It seems to me a good sign that the author is involved in the production, and is happy with the casting.
