In just over two months, Marvel is going to unleash the long-awaited Baby Groot movie. Of course, you may know it by its alternate title, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. But it’s coming up fast, and you’d better let go of our Ego! Today’s Nerdist News is all about the things that you may have missed in the latest trailer for the sequel!

Naturally, there are potential spoilers ahead! We mean it! Don’t say that you weren’t warned.

For starters, everyone’s excited to see Kurt Russell making his MCU debut as Star-Lord’s long-lost dad, Ego the Living Planet. But we think that there’s good reason to believe that not only is Ego a major player in this film, he may also be one of the major locations. More importantly, there are some hints that Star-Lord and the other Guardians are trying to take out the Living Planet from the inside.

Star-Lord’s new monster tracker should also look familiar to classic toy fans, even if it isn’t technically the model that it should be. But we’re more freaked out by Nebula’s new hook hand. And is it possible we’ll even see an Awesome Mix Vol. 3 tape that takes us into the inevitable third Guardians of the Galaxy movie? Don’t bet against it!
