Watch David Hasselhoff’s Uber ’70s Video for GUARDIANS INFERNO

Well, it’s settled, Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 has found the very best way to announce something. They could’ve sent a press release, constructed a tweet, or had any number of the characters just talk about it. But no. James Gunn has been hinting at some news over the last few days and today proved they went so above and beyond to announce the Blu-ray release of the movie by putting out this glorious music video.

The video for The Sneepers featuring David Hasselhoff’s song “Guardians Inferno” is–without a doubt–one of our favorite things on the internet today. It features the illustrious “Hoff” in a very glittery ’70s setting that doesn’t feel too far off from his actual music career. With him are some familiar faces from the Guardians team along with James Gunn and his brother Sean. And like most Marvel properties, there’s even a Stan Lee cameo. Seemingly absent from the music video are Groot (Vin Diesel) and Bradley Cooper (Rocket Racoon) but considering a certain dancing robot reveal toward the end, who knows if they’re really just in disguise.

In addition to the video forever overwriting David Hasselhoff’s name to “Zardu Hasselfrau” in our minds, it also has us a bit too excited to see the costumes in this video show up future conventions in cosplay form. It’d be an automatic win in any contests as far as we’re concerned.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 is available on digital August 8th and gets released on Blu-ray and the new 4K Ultra HD on August 22nd.

What’s your favorite part of The Sneepers’ music video? Let’s discuss in the comments below!
