When Warcraft comes up in conversation, the first thing that comes to most folks’ minds is World of Warcraft. The MMO has worked wonders in getting the Warcraft series mainstream attention, and you’ll be hard-pressed to find someone who hasn’t heard the name Warcraft at some point. But on the flipside, I’d bet my bottom dollar that a majority of the people who’ve heard of WoWÂ have no clue where it all started–on the battlefields of first three Warcraft RTS titles.

With the Warcraft movie inbound next year and a brand new WoW expansion on the horizon, what better time to learn the ins and outs of the expansive lore this franchise has to offer?
