Give Your Toys a Workout With This 12-Inch Scale Bench Press Set

It’s a criticism you’ve undoubtedly heard if you’e ever collected toys in your life. Why do they have to have such unrealistic physiques? How do these heroic figures get such ridiculously big muscles? Perhaps that’s what POP Toys were thinking when they created this 1/6 scale workout bench–the next time anyone mentions that your 12-inch Batman figure has ridiculously sculpted abs, just pose him like this:

The figure is not included–frankly, we’d love to see how that convincing stomach-crunching is engineered. No, what you get, for a mere $59.99, is a bench, barbell, and eight weights. But to be fair, the bench can be configured for different exercises.

Thanks, younger/buffer James Remar figure. You have an excellent career in modeling toy gym equipment ahead of you, should you so choose it.

Seriously, though, if you’re an adult collector with kids, this might be a good motivator. Display some of your figures working out, and explain to the little ‘uns that the reason Bruce Wayne is so buff is because he does that, and if they don’t respond, “Dad/Mom, toys are so lame! We wanna play some video games!”, you might actually interest them in exercise as well. Or, y’know, it might just be a fun gag gift. You can preorder now from Cotswold Collectibles, for delivery in the fall.

What equipment would you want to pose figures with? Maybe a treadmill for the Flash? A cable cross-over for Cable? A stationary bike for Pee-wee Herman? Work it out, and let us know in comments!
