Get Your First Look at Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon in GOTHAM

James Gordon wasn’t always a commissioner; he was once a spry, young detective. That’s the side of the beloved character from the Batman universe we’re going to see in Fox’s Gotham. Photographers captured the first images of Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon as he was running through the streets on location in New York City. He looks in shape and ready to take down any bad guy who comes his way.

Of course, given his time as a member of the Los Angeles Police Department on TNT’s Southland, it’s not surprising that he can join in foot pursuits and handle a gun. Given the other images shared by the Daily Mail, Gordon could be chasing The Penguin (played by Robin Taylor). Oswald Cobblepot appears to be rather dapper while Gordon looks tidy and proper. No, McKenzie isn’t sporting a mustache, but I bet it will eventually appear.

What do you think of the images of McKenzie as Gordon? Let us know in the comments.

  1. I like how they make Cobblepot appear to be just a very well dressed criminal. Sort of give him a Michael Corleone appearance to him.
