Gaming Daily: THE DIVISION’S Launch Trailer Proves This Game Will Be Deep

Super Tuesday is coming to a close, meaning we’re one step closer to finding out who our presidential candidates will be for this year’s election. While Bernie Sanders and Hilary Clinton are locked in a tight race for the Democratic bid, Donald Drumpf has been running away with the carnivalesque GOP race. I’m afraid of the future.

But enough with the politics and onto the fun! Today’s Gaming Daily brings about the official launch trailer for The Division, official details on this weekend’s Uncharted 4 Multiplayer stress test, Killer Instinct: Season 3 details, and more…

The Division

The Division gets a launch trailer

After waiting for what seems like an eternity, we are finally just a week away from the release of Tom Clancy’s The Division. That means only seven days until my friends and I become freebooting killing machines who patrol and pillage the extraction areas of the Dark Zone. Yes, I plan to play this game like a total asshole– at least I’m upfront about it. This is Darwinism, son!

Since folks will be busy tearing up Manhattan when the game hits next week, Ubisoft has released the launch trailer a week early. It’s completely story-based and shows off The Division‘s awesome shaky camera cutscene cinematography. It also makes one thing certain: for all of the comparisons this game gets to Destiny, it will unquestionably have a more cohesive and robust plot. Exactly what I expect from a Tom Clancy game. Get that ass over here, March 8!

Watch Pokkén Tournament‘s Super Burst Attacks

Pokémon may be all cute and cuddly at first glance, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t stomp a mud hole in one another. Or punch one:

Damn, this game is going to be brutal. There are plenty more Super Burst Attacks where that came from, and you don’t have to go anywhere (except to the link below) to check them all out.

Killer Instinct: Season 3 coming March 29

The highly intriguing business model of Killer Instinct continues on. Season 3 will bring five new fighters to the fray: Kim Wu, Tusk, and Gargos from Killer Instinct II, as well as Arbiter from Halo and Rash from Battletoads. Season 3 will launch on March 29 for the Xbox One and Windows 10 platforms, cross-functionality and fight stick support included.

This is just one of the many announcements Microsoft made at their press conference last week, which you can get the full scoop on in our media briefing recap right here.

How to not suck at Mortal Kombat X

You may think you’re good at Mortal Kombat X but if you can’t fight your way out of pools at EVO, by FGC standards, you suck. I, for one, know that I suck, and have decided the time has come for me to flip my Mortal Kombat career on its head. To commemorate today’s release of Mortal Kombat XL, we brought in pro-Mortal Kombat player and two-time world champion Perfect Legend to help us not suck at the game. Check out his protips in the video above.

Uncharted 4 to conduct multiplayer stress test this weekend

While you’re anxiously waiting for The Division to hit stores next Tuesday, there’ll be a little Uncharted 4 multiplayer to help tide you over this weekend. Naughty Dog is conducting a stress test on the game servers, which begins Friday, March 4 at 9:00am PST and ends Sunday, March 6 at 11:59 PST. Much of the feedback they received from the beta test in December has been taken into consideration, so it’ll be interesting to see what changes they’ve made to the game since.

Not much else was said about the beta test in Naughty Dog’s post on the PlayStation Blog today, but it is rumored that there will be new maps thrown into the mix this time around. I’d personally like to know more about the character customization options, as well as any existence of a Machinima mode. We’ll know more this weekend, but either way, I’ll be on there smacking fools with my grappling hook!
