Submerged gets an official announcement trailer, details reveal that it is coming to the PS4

After being revealed last year, indie development studio Uppercut Games–which is made up of members from the Bioshock 2 team– announced today that its brand new action-adventure title Submerged, will be coming to the PS4. Alongside the platform reveal, they also released a beautiful announcement trailer featuring sibling protagonists Miku and Taku floating through a flooded city on a boat.

As you’ll notice in the above video, young Taku is injured, which leaves his older sister Miku to search for shelter and gather supplies to help him recover. According to the developers, players will discover what happened to city, and what led the duo to its doorstep along the way. As far as gameplay is concerned, players will travel via boat to locate “forgotten caches” of resources, and climb old buildings to reach the items.

Uppercut Games also revealed that the game has been designed with no “failure states”, which according to the developer, means players can “play at [their] own pace, safe in the knowledge that [they’ll] never die.”

The title, developed in the Unreal Engine, will also hit PC and mobile devices. As of right now, there is no news whether it will make an appearance on the Xbox One.

COD LEAK

Call of Duty Black Ops III Release Date, Beta Details Leaked.

Well, this is interesting. According to some leaked GameStop promotional material posted on NeoGAF earlier this morning, Call of Duty: Black Ops III will officially launch on November 6, 2015, and those who pre-order the title will receive access to the game’s beta. On top of that, the poster revealed that the BLOPS III beta will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

With the official world reveal of their next title only two days away, neither Activision nor Treyarch have confirmed whether this leaked information is true, or even which consoles we will be seeing the title on. In fact, the leaked poster itself states,  “Actual platform availability and launch date(s) to be determined.” Judging by past Call of Duty release dates, however, the November 6 date is pretty plausible.

A source revealed to Kotaku that the material featured in the leaked images will be distributed to GameStop customers starting this Sunday, which makes a lot of sense considering the fact that April 26 is when Activision is set to finally drop the curtain on the project.

HALF LIFE THREE CONFIRMED-04242015

Developer speaks out about unreleased Half-Life Episodic game.

No, this isn’t the Half Life 3 announcement you were looking for, but it is still pretty cool. Deus Ex designer Warren Spector, who is known to had been working with Valve on a Half-Life project during his time at Junction Point, spoke to Game Informer about the unreleased episode.

According to the interview, the episode was meant to “fill in one of the gaps in the Half-Life story,” Without revealing details about the gap in question, he continued,  “We were trying to flesh out a specific part of Half-Life, of the world of Half-Life.”

Spector also revealed that the company had developed a brand new tool called the “magnet gun” for the episode. On the item he noted,  “I still wish they would do something with it. We came up with so many cool ways to use a magnet gun that were completely different from anything they had done, and was really free form in its use. I still think it would be cool.” He later noted that he thinks it would have “complemented the gravity gun pretty nicely.”

As for another installment? Well, Valve has yet to confirm anything in the past eight years since Episode Two’s release. Alas, the infamous Half Life 3 remains unconfirmed.
