Gaming Daily: Get Your Hands On a 25 Pound Sub-Zero Statue

Got the case of the Mondays? Are the two new Halo trailers not enough? Has the excitement of being able to groove to your jams on your PS4 with Spotify just not cutting it? Mondays are certainly tough, but we have reached the end of the day and want to make your day just a tad bit better. On today’s Gaming Daily: nab a 25 pound Sub Zero Statue that’ll set you back $700, Dragon Age DLC hitting rest of consoles in May, and first free car DLC revealed for Project Cars. Let us speed on ahead.

Sub Zero

Pre-Order $700 Sub-Zero Statue

We would be lying if we said we weren’t excited for Mortal Kombat X, and what better way to celebrate the soon-to-launch title than by purchasing a $700 Sub-Zero 1:3 statue? Pop Culture Shock Toys has opened up the pre-orders page for this rad statue of Sub-Zero that stands a whopping 28″ inches tall, featuring LED lit ice ball, and weighing in at 25 pounds. You won’t be able to pre-order this larger than life statue until April 6th.

The price tag is a bit hefty but the dimensions reveal that the statue itself is extremely hefty as well. The bad news is that the statue is set to ship April 5th of next year. That’s right, it will ship in 2016. Only 350 of these bad boys are being produced, so the investment might be worth it for the hardcore fan. Pre-ordering will also save you a whole 15%, just in case you want to save a little cash.

DRAGON-AGE-INQUISITION-JAWS-OF-HAKKON-03302015

Dragon Age DLC coming in May to other Consoles

Fans of Dragon Age: Inquisition were extremely surprised to learn that the  Jaws of Hakken DLC would be hitting the Xbox One before any other console, and then even more surprised when Bioware would not reveal how long the DLC would stay exclusive. Well, through Dragon Age’s twitter account we now know that the DLC will make its way onto other consoles in May. No specific date was disclosed but at least knowing the month may make the wait a little bit easier.

Timed exclusives are not something new, especially when it comes to DLC. What was so strange about this was that it wasn’t announced previously until the DLC dropped. Usually this is some sort of marketing ploy to get the mind share to play said title on the console that will be getting the content first, ie. Call of Duty franchise. What was so sketchy was that BioWare could not share when it would make its way onto other consoles. Probably because of the agreement with Microsoft. This isn’t the first time we have seen this with Microsoft’s timed exclusive content. The next Tomb Raider game has already been announced to only be a timed exclusive title but how long it will stay exclusive has yet to be revealed. It isn’t necessarily a bad tactic, it just feels disingenuous.

PROJECT CARS 03302015

Project Cars first free DLC car revealed Furious 7 featured car

Project Cars has had a bumpy ride on its journey to consoles, being struck with delay after delay. So, any good news is welcomed. Today, developer Slightly Mad Studios, has announced the first free car DLC to be racing onto Project Cars when the game finally releases and it is a doozy. The Lykan Hypersport will be your free car. This beast of a car has some impressive specs including: hitting 62 mph in 2.8 seconds, featuring a top speed of 245 mph, and is the first supercar to be made in the Middle East.

It may even look a bit familiar to Fast and the Furious fans, it is because this beauty is featured in Furious 7. Project Cars has lost a lot of luster with all of the delays and plenty of other great racing games released so grabbing any positive headlines should be considered a win.

That is it for today, everybody. It’s definitely been a pretty good Monday overall. New Mortal Kombat swag, Dragon Age DLC isn’t too far away for non Xbox One owners, and we get to drive a supercar that most of us normal folk will never be able to drive in real life. Speed your way into the comments section below and let us know what supercar you want to drive, whether you plan on waiting for the Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC, and whether you plan on grabbing one of the 350 Sub-Zero statues.
