If our review or beginner’s guide wasn’t enough to get you interested in Bloodborne, maybe Smosh Games’ hilarious edition of Honest Game Trailers for the title will. Focusing on the game’s lengthy load times, difficulty level, and its similarity to the Souls series, the video’s narrator pokes good fun at Sony’s successful exclusive.

“Suffer through another action RPG that’s just as brutal as Dark Souls, because it basically is Dark Souls. But it isn’t called Dark Souls to trick people who hate Dark Souls into trying out Dark Souls. But, of course, it won’t be easy. The video points out, “as anyone who’s ever played a Souls game before, if at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try, try, try, try, try again.” Ah, yes. Truer words about a Souls game have never been spoken.

The best part of the video, however, was when the narrator compared the protagonist to another who is silent, dramatically opens treasure chests, and enjoys smashing pots. Sound familiar?

Techland releases Dying Light Developer Tools to PC players.

If you’re a fan of building your own zombie killing playground and thought Techland’s Dying Light would be the perfect place to do it, you’re in luck. The developer has just made the game’s Developer Tools available to those who own the game on PC.

“All PC players can now take on the role of game designers and build their own quarantine zones. The Dying Light Developer Tools allow for the creation of brand-new maps, custom stories, and insane scenarios limited only by the imagination of the author,” a Techland rep revealed.

So whether you want to craft all new stories, drop kick zombies off a cliff and onto a target, or stack explosive barrels– you’ll be able to do that and more. The developer also remarked that they have plans to release more updates to the Developer Tools mode in the future to add new features, assets, and functionality.

This update will definitely please those who had the mods they created axed after the company released a patch to quell cheating methods. Since removing the content was never their intention, and they are fans of user made content, it is nice to see them doing something to fix their mistake.

SAILOR MOON

Bandai Namco could possibly make a Sailor Moon game.

While this isn’t necessarily an announcement, a lot of people have been asking Bandai Namco–who’s already produced excellent video game versions of Dragon Ball, Saint Seiya, One Piece, Digimon and more–whether they have plans to make one based on our favorite Sailor Scouts. Well, according to the company, if there is enough interest, a new IP featuring Serena and co. would be something they’d be interested in tackling.

Miyazoe elaborated to IGN, “It really comes down to us being able to develop a compelling game that treats the Sailor Moon franchise the right way and we’d want to know that fans would support the game. There are other factors that go into us deciding what we can and can’t make, but these two items would be some of the bigger questions we ask ourselves before diving into a project.”

While there have obviously been Sailor Moon titles in the past, ranging from beat em’ ups, to puzzle platformers, it would make a lot of sense for the company to seize this opportunity, especially since Naoko Takeuchi’s famous manga has been resurrected again in a brand new television show. Whatever ends up happening, we’ll be sure to let you know.

That’s it for today everybody. Keep Nerdist tabbed for all your upcoming gaming news, reviews and features.
