Gaming Daily: Activision Drops CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS III Teaser

Happy Friday’s eve, everyone! If you thought Warner Bros. Interactive’s announcement of LEGO Dimensions or the first look at The Thing in Fantastic Four were all that would shake up the internet today, you better prepare yourself for the incoming hype-quake that today’s video game developments will certainly cause. In today’s Gaming Daily, the curtain is pulled back on Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Tony Hawk’s caterer slips up and leaks his next game, and Magicka: Wizard Wars finally gets a full release later this month. Shall we dance?

BOIII Post

Call of Duty: Black Ops III is a thing!

If there were any hopes for the Call of Duty franchise heading back to World War II days in Treyarch’s next installment of the series, it is now time to put them all to rest. Activision released a teaser trailer earlier, officially announcing that Call of Duty: Black Ops III will be the franchise’s next title. The teaser also unveiled that April 26 will be the date of the game’s official reveal.

So with this officially being a game that doesn’t take place in the 1940s, there’s a couple of questions that are tumbling about in my mind. Which Black Ops II ending will hold canon leading into the next game’s story? Will there be any Exo suits or will we have to go back to the stone age of ground-based FPS gameplay? Keep it locked here, as we’ll have the answers to all of your questions as soon as details are divulged.

Woops! Tony Hawk 5 leaked by caterer.

ROFL! Now this is funny! Chef Joe Youkhan was just doing his job, finding a way to arrange a fashionable and welcoming food situation within a huge half-pipe skating arena. After he concocted a stylish little set up that was sure to please his boss, he simply wanted to document his excellent work and share it with his friends on Instagram. Only one problem:

Someone forgot to turn off the screen in the back! If you look closely, you’ll notice it reads “Tony Hawk 5,” a game that until now, we had no knowledge of. We knew that Tony Hawk was in the process of making another game, but there was no information as to how far along the game was, nor what its title would be. I’m guessing we’ll find out more about Tony Hawk 5 between now and the end of E3, assuming nothing else gets leaked onto the web by accident. Until then, I think I’ll take a nice nostalgic plunge back into the wonderful world of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2.

Magicka: Wizard Wars on its way April 28.

Paradox Interactive just dropped a release date on us for their free-to-play title Magicka: Wizard Wars. Players can prepare to begin their wizard quests, in full, on April 28. The full release will come with a new mode, extended PvP matches, and new maps for lethal spell conjuring.

While Magicka 2 is still in the oven and will be releasing on May 26, Wizard Wars early access players will notice an update being implemented on April 14. This patch will revamp the game’s economy, add a new spell trial system, and a new progression system as well.

That about wraps it for Thursday’s Gaming Daily. Always keep it parked here on Nerdist for all of the juicy video game developments, and to chat about our beloved medium, I’m only one tweet away: @Malik4play.
