Few things are as fun as falling down the theory rabbit holes that Game of Thrones fans have crafted over the yearsâespecially now, with season seven over and the final six episodes of the series at least a year, if not longer, out from hitting our TV screens. With thousands of pages of source material, hundreds of years of history, and an infinite amount of hypotheticals from which to choose, it’s no wonder everyone has their own personal favorite as we decompress from such a high-octane season.
But so far, only Jacob Anderson, a.k.a. Grey Worm, has been so completely right about which fan theory reigns supreme: the hotly contested “is Varys a merman?” theory.
Sure, Conleth Hill has denied it, but Anderson, like so many other Dan Caseys we know, thinks it’s just mental enough to be true (even if it doesn’t come into fruition on the series itself). We also spoke to the actor about how he feels about the final players and who he’s rooting to survive. And like all good henchmen, he even dished on some Dany secrets, letting us know just how talented Emilia Clarke is at singing and rappingâwho says queens can’t have it all, right?!
Of course our new favorite fan theory is the, ahem, golden opportunity Anderson posited for his character Grey Worm and let’s just say: it sounds heavy.
