GAME OF THRONES Cast Plays “Sword or ’80s Metal Band?” for Charity

Crimson Death. Hearteater. Dark Sister. Savage Grace. Oathkeeper. Lightbringer.

Okay, which of those are swords from Game of Thrones and which ones are ’80s metal bands? If you know the correct answer to all of them (and I did, thank you very much) you are probably not a cast member on the show.

In this video, we get to see many members of HBO‘s hit series try to determine whether they were being given the name of a sword from the story or a metal band. It’s kind of amazing how similar the two categories are, but the results here are still disappointing. I mean, Sansa Stark screws up her own family’s ancestral Valyrian sword! The North remembers Sophie Turner—you can too!

“Swords can’t eat hearts,” jokes John Bradley-West, who plays Samwell Tarly. Well, no, not when Joffrey is the one wielding it, but it’s still the name of a sword.

The video is a promotion for Omaze, which is giving away a chance to see the Game of Thrones season six premiere in Los Angeles as part of a fundraiser for the International Rescue Committee’s efforts to help refugee families in crisis. Besides getting an early look at season six, the winner and a friend will get flown to Los Angeles, put up in a four-star hotel, meet the cast for pictures, and even get to attend the after-party. If you are the lucky winner, you’ll want to make a point to say hello to Lena Headey. Based on this video (and literally anytime you see her as herself and not Cersei Lannister), she seems like the nicest, sweetest person in the world.

What ’80s metal bands would double as good sword names? Tell us below.
