We Asked GAME OF THRONES’ Cast the Most Burning Question of 2016

It’s the question that’s been on everyone’s lips for years. Ever since George R.R. Martin‘s last installment in the A Song of Ice and Fire series—A Dance with Dragons—hit bookshelves, it’s a fate that’s been left unanswered. But even if you’re not a book reader, it’s the question we’ve all been dying to know the answer to for ages. And well, with season six of Game of Thrones hitting our TV screens on April 24 at 9 p.m., we might finally have an answer. At last we may know what finally became of one of the most universally beloved characters on the show. …Gendry.

You remember Gendry, right? The would-be Arya paramour and Baratheon bastard that escaped the Lannisters’ quest to kill any remnants of King Robert’s lineage at the end of season three? The brawny lad with a really cool ram helm that—thanks to Ser Davos—survived certain death by rowing out into the great unknown and possible death?

Yes! That one!

So where the heck is the poor lad? According to last we heard from his real-life actor counterpart, he’s still out there:

So naturally, we took the question to experts closest to the action—the cast and some of its biggest fans—to try and get the dirt on what really went down with Gendry after that boat left the shore …and also totally psych them out, thinking they were talking about ol’ Jon Snow.

Which reminds us, want to hear about our latest Jon Snow theory? Check out Monday’s Nerdist News:

What do you think happened to Gendry? Let us know your thoughts and theories below and stay tuned to even more footage from the red carpet premiere of Game of Thrones all week!
