We’re Deep-Diving Into the New GAME OF THRONES Photos

OK, are you ready? Because here’s the spoiler warning for all that’s about to come next. We’re about to drop a boatload of Game of Thrones photos on you from the upcoming sixth season, so if you don’t want to know, don’t click!

After a wait for the sixth season of Game of Thrones that’s honestly felt like the longest winter the Realm has ever known, we finally have our first real look at what’s to come from the season that will be largely uncharted territory in the Song of Ice and Fire. With the HBO series charging full-steam ahead of novelist George R.R. Martin‘s fifth book, there is so much we don’t know about what’s ahead of us. We’re probably at a 50/50 split, depending on what threads from the fourth and fifth books showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss pick up. But whatever’s to come, I swear to the old gods and the new that we are here.for.it.

And by the looks of these photos, we’re not going to know about the fate of Jon “totally, fully, really, really dead” Snow until the season premiere on April 24, 2016.

Whatever, you guys. When he comes back as the new Night’s King protégé, I’ll be ready.

Other things we can glean from the photos? Arya is still super blind (!!), THE GREYJOYS ARE BACK (!!!), Tyrion and Varys are back to their buddy cop ways, Samwell and Gilly are on a boat (motherfuckaaaaassss!), the High Sparrow is still at his quest for extreme morality, poor Myrcella Baratheon is definitely dead, the Lannister lovebirds will reunite (but by the looks on their faces, it seems the incesti-sibs won’t be doin’ it this go-around), and—praise Xenu—Sansa Stark and Theon/Reek survived their Winterfall (heh, get it?).

Another thing that’s WILDLY interesting is the caveat that comes with the photo of Bran Stark and the new Three-Eyed Raven (The Force Awakens‘ Max von Sydow). While it looks like the two are standing—yes, STANDING!—in the middle of Castle Black or Winterfell, they are, allegedly, in the middle of a “vision sequence.”

Hop on down to the gallery below to see the photos and see more of our thoughts.

There’s so much to discuss but let’s not get ahead of ourselves—why don’t we all discuss it together on Twitter? Tweet us at @alicialutes/@Nerdist to get in on the discussion and begin the speculation overdrive!
