FULL HOUSE Cast Reunites, Sings Famed TV Theme Song At Show Creator’s Birthday

“Whatever happened to predictability? The milkman, the paperboy, evening TV?”

If you can believe it, I didn’t even have to do a Google search for those lyrics. Instead, like most people my age who grew up glued to the ABC T.G.I.F. (“Thank Goodness It’s Funny”) lineup*, they’re permanently engraved on my brain.

For those, cough, Millennials who didn’t have the joy of experiencing the television magic the first time around, those pearls of wisdom are the opening lines to Full House‘s theme song. It’s called “Everywhere You Look” and it’s small-screen musical perfection.

Like a fine wine or Keanu Reeves, the tune only gets better with age, as heard this weekend when the cast reunited for the birthday of Jeff Franklin, series creator and theme song co-writer.

Most of the Tanner clan was in attendance—like Danny (Bob Saget), D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), Uncles Joey (Dave Coulier) and Jesse (John Stamos)—as were beloved supporting characters like Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) and Aunt Becky (Lori Loughlin). The cast has reunited a lot over the years, but we’ve never seen them take the stage and bust out a group singalong of “Everywhere You Look”, like they did on Saturday.

Missing from the chorus was lil’ Michelle, aka Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Although, seeing that the twins are pretty tiny, they might’ve been standing in the back just out of view.

If you just can’t get enough Full House, allow me to point your attention to Jesse & The Rippers recent appearance on The Tonight Show, where they played a medley of their hypothetical hits.

It’ll totally have you saying, “Have mercy!”

*Said lineup went a little like this in ’89-’90: Full House at 8 PM, Family Matters at 8:30 PM, Perfect Strangers at 9 PM, and Just The Ten Of Us at 9:30 PM. Booyah!
