Four STAR WARS Looks to Try This Halloween

Nerdoween is upon us! Though, truth be told, we at Nerdist like to celebrate year ‘round, especially when Star Wars is involved. But if you’re new to the cosplaying game (or just out of ideas), Disney Style wants to help you pick out your attire by showing you how to recreate some of the most recognizable Star Wars looks this Halloween season.

The Star Wars universe is known for its iconic fashion statements, from Leia’s hair buns to Vader’s black cape. It’s these looks that make dressing up like your favorite character easy for Halloween and even in everyday life. This time-lapse from Disney Style that shows how simple it is to transform one person into one of four unique characters. As a fan of makeup tutorials, I love watching these metamorphoses helped along with costumes from Party City.

The first outfit: Rey from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Hair is a major part of Star Wars stories and Rey’s three-bun up-do is immediately recognizable. The makeup is clean and simple. Nothing too fussy for the dusty planet of Jakku.

The second transformation is definitely not an everyday look… that is, unless your job involves working on the Death Star. The skeletal-looking Stormtrooper makeup is a fun way to go to a Halloween party and still be able to snack and mingle sans mask.

Next, the most memorable of all outfits: Princess Leia’s white gown from A New Hope. This classic sheath and hairstyle is a fan favorite every Halloween. The makeup is simple and sweet but, let’s face it, it’s all about the hair.

Finally, my favorite of all the transformations: Lord Vader. Dramatic eye shadow and a deep red lip is the perfect pairing for a spooky night out in a Darth Vader costume.

Which Star Wars character will you be transforming into this Halloween? Let us know in the comments and tag @nerdist and @justjennrecipes on instagram so we can see your outfit!
