Forget Pajamas: Wear a Giant Fried Shrimp Instead

For awhile it was Snuggies. Then Kigurumis were all the rage for those looking to live life to the most comfortable and fullest. But now they’ve gotten an upgrade—and it’s a tasty upgrade at that. You only have to look to Gudetama the lazy egg to see that lethargic food is the new hottness, and now our cosplaying food prayers have been answered with this wearable fried prawn sleeping bag.

Whether it’s served with a side of rice or a steaming bowl of ramen, shrimp tempura is a Japanese lunchtime staple but why only eat it when you could literally live it? RocketNews opened our eyes to the world of living the shrimp life: simply zip yourself up into the sleeping bag—which is made of perfectly piled yellow fabric for that on-the-go karaage look—and you’ll be warm and cozy, just like an actual shrimp bento.

But wait, there’s more! The fried prawn even has shrimp tail socks to complete the ensemble. The whole fried outfit from Felissimo costs 8,424 yen (US$82.36). So while it may be more than a bento lunch, what’s eighty bucks when it means a lifetime of prawn filled memories?

Deliveries within Japan start in October, just in time for cooler weather when shrimp comfort is at its peak. Still not convinced? Then maybe the attached propaganda video that Felissimo created will entice you to purchase. Watch as the shrimp lady sleeps, cleans and even eats, what else, shrimp! I’ll be honest watching the video made me want to have my credit card at the ready just for the idea of being able to vacuum dressed head to toe like a giant piece of fried seafood.

You can order your own fried prawn outfit online at Felissimo.

Will you be cosplay shrimp this winter? Let us know in the comments and for goodness sakes please tag @nerdist and @justjennrecipes on instagram so that we can see you living your best life.
