More THE FLASH and SUPERGIRL Musical Crossover Details

Supergirls Melissa Benoist and The Flash‘s Grant Gustin are both veterans of Glee, and they both have a lot of singing talent. That’s part of what makes the Supergirl and The Flash musical crossover so exciting. That TV event is coming up sooner than you may have thought, and The CW has just revealed more information about what we can expect and who will be singing.

Via Entertainment Weekly, The CW announced that this crossover will only lightly affect Supergirl‘s series at the end of the episode airing on Monday, March 20. Essentially, that’s the same way The CW handled the Invasion crossover. That means that The Flash‘s episode on Tuesday, March 21 will have the vast majority of the story and the musical numbers.

Naturally, both Benoist and Gustin are slated to sing in the crossover; but they won’t be the only cast members getting in on the fun. The Flash‘s Jesse L. Martin and Carlos Valdes will show off their musical talents alongside Supergirl‘s Jeremy Jordan. DC Legends of Tomorrow cast member Victor Garber will also lend his vocal talents to the episode, as will John Barrowman. Although it’s not clear how Barrowman’s Malcolm Merlyn will factor into the story. The report notes that Supergirl‘s David Harewood and Chris Wood will also appear in the crossover, but they will not be singing.

We already know that the villain for this story is the Music Meister, who was aptly played by Neil Patrick Harris in his debut appearance on Batman: The Brave and the Bold animated series. We’re still holding out hope that Harris will reprise his role, but the part hasn’t yet been filled for The CW’s superhero musical crossover.

Are you excited about The Flash and Supergirl musical episode? Who would you cast as the Music Meister if Harris can’t play the role? Let us know in the comment section below!
