First Look at Hot Topic and Cartoon Network’s New Animated Fashions

Oh my glob. If you’ve been longing for more fashion forward clothing from Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Dexter’s Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, and Courage the Cowardly Dog, this is your lucky day. Hot Topic and Cartoon Network are here to make your animated apparel dreams and wishes come true with a new collection. Cartoon Network has paired with the retailer before; The Powerpuff Girls line released earlier this year was so successful that they realized they could leap into designs for other popular series.

And leap they have because this collection is all about variety. You’ll find styles for men and women ranging from sweaters to dresses. Some highlights include a rad Powerpuff Girls bomber jacket with embroidered patches, an Adventure Time dress with a Peter Pan collar and all-over print, a Steven Universe Pearl dress with a pretty color gradient on the skirt, and a Steven Universe Cookie Cat sweater. Yes. A Cookie Cat sweater.

A couple of the items in the collection could be worked into casual cosplay and/or simple Halloween costumes. You could pair the Marceline sweater and dress from Adventure Time with some vampire makeup or don some colorful wigs with the Steven Universe dresses. They’re obviously all suitable for everyday wear though.

Head to the gallery below to view the rest of the Cartoon Network collection and make note of your favorite pieces. These designs will hit select Hot Topic retail stores and the website on Tuesday, August 9. What will you be buying? Let me know in the comments.
