Finally: an ORPHAN BLACK Teaser! And Tatiana Maslany’s Not Clone-ing Around

Groan all you want, but when you’re as anticipatory over a returning series as we are for BBC America’s Orphan Black, you’d feel more than a little punny, too. Shrill shrieks of joy and elation were likely heard all across Los Angeles as the email of their existence entered the inboxes of many a TV writer this morning. BBC America knows that the Clone Club has waited patiently for the second season of their original series and deserves not just one but EIGHT NEW CLIPS — one a day for the next 8 days. The first of the clips was released today on the official Orphan Black Instagram. Check it out:

If you’re not into theorizing, feel free to turn away now, but: did anyone catch that? In the brief snippet we saw main clone Sarah Manning entering the office of Rachel Duncan, the seemingly evil pro-clone who’s known about her own origins this whole time (unlike Sarah, Alison, and the rest). Only… wait a second! That’s not Sarah — it’s Cosima! (You can tell by the eyeliner, nose ring, and hair.) Has she broken into DYAD under the auspices of Sarah coming to terms with DYAD’s, uh, terms? Looks like superhuman actressperson Tatiana Maslany will be doing more clones-pretending-to-be-other-clones work this season. And for those of you who haven’t seen it: it’s truly impressive. Trust us. Also what are you waiting for? You can get the pilot on iTunes for free! Start binge-watching now. April 19th is just around the corner.
