THE FIFTH ELEMENT Gets Beautiful Vinyl Soundtrack for Its 20th Birthday

For the first time ever, the soundtrack to Luc Besson‘s sci-fi classic The Fifth Element is getting a full fledged vinyl release. And yes, before we get into the details of the actual release, the crazy-talented, blue alien-lady’s opera performance, “Lucia Di Lammermoor” will be included among the rest of Eric Serra’s score, so don’t you worry your dyed-blonde or dyed-red hair out.

According to A.V. Club, the fine folks over at Mondo will be releasing the below deluxe vinyl on Wednesday May 17 at 12 pm EST. The vinyl features stunning cover and gatefold art of 23rd century earth by artist Shan Jiang, and comes with two variations of 180-gram vinyl. You can either get the “White with Orange Stripe” version or the limited-to-500 copies “Super Green” version. Check out all the excellent artwork below.
