FALLOUT-Themed Monopoly on the Way

Monopoly has been manifesting temporary rifts between friends, families and strangers alike for decades. We’ve all been there. You know the scenario. Things seem to be going well, you’ve been carefully buying properties since your first departure from the Go square, but there’s always one person who comes a long and messes it all up. But, despite being screwed over we keep playing the game, and as a result, Hasbro and the Parker bros. continue to create themed-versions of the board game because they know we’ll buy it. Heck, in the world of video games alone, we’ve already seen versions based on The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Assassin’s Creed, and even World of Warcraft.

Now, it looks like we’ll be adding the Fallout franchise to the mix.

This news first came to light when one of Shacknews’ writers posted an image of the game on Instagram, after spotting it at the Gamestop expo. When one user commented on the image and tagged USAopoly — the official Instagram account of the board game designer — in attempt to find out when we’d see the game, the manufacturer responded with, “This November only at GameStop”.

The news was then confirmed by the official Fallout twitter account:

Though there is no mention of the November release date in the above tweet, we’re assuming it’s true, seeing as it came directly from the Monopoly folks themselves. The assumption is that the game will come out the same day as the highly anticipated Fallout 4, which is releasing on November 10.

As for how the company will fit “all the necessary bottlecaps” in the box, the Fallout twitter account had this to say:

But, I’m sure that won’t stop people from using bottlecaps anyways. Better get to collecting, everybody!
