Time flies when you’re having fun and it flies even faster when you’re fighting all manner of paranormal menaces while going to hell and back. That being said, we can barely believe that 2014 marks the 20th anniversary of Mike Mignola‘s seminal comic book series Hellboy, and the 10th anniversary of its film adaptation. Since his demonic debut back in 1994, Hellboy’s world has grown by leaps and bounds, spawning scores of spin-off series, feature films, video games, novels, adorable vinyl toys, and much more. In the words of Arthur Hoggett in Babe, “That’ll do pig.”

Dark Horse is celebrating the holiday in a style befitting Big Red by releasing Hellboy: The First 20 Years, a brand new hardcover anthology covering the book’s first two decades, and will be raising hell across multiple continents with a massive international celebration on Saturday, March 22nd, which will henceforth be known as Hellboy Day. Gathering an impressive assemblage of Hellboy-related talent, Dark Horse is making sure that Saturday March 22nd will be a day that lives in whatever the opposite of infamy is.
