Exclusive: SCORPION Creator Nick Santora Makes Us A Genius Playlist

This Monday, one of the hottest shows on CBS’ fall slate, Scorpion, makes its debut. Based on real-life events, the series follows a group of eccentric geniuses lead by the fourth smartest man in the world, Walter O’Brien. Together, the gang tackles high-risk problems for the government that range from everything including software malfunctions at air traffic control to how Nerdist overlord Chris Hardwick takes his coffee in the morning (seriously, the government likes knowing things like this).

But something we’ve been especially curious about is what would the playlist for a show about a group of the world’s brightest looks like? Well, wonder no more thanks to series creator Nick Santora, who sent over an exclusive playlist to get you ready for the new CBS drama.

For our money, we gotta hand the winner of this list to 22-20s’ “Devil In Me.” Some solid rock ‘n’ roll that really sells us on the idea that these brainiacs are going to be fast-talking, quick-thinking badasses that know how to get the job done.

Being the New York native that he is, it’s not surprising this playlist from Santora has some grit and bite to it. The man’s worked on shows ranging from The Sopranos and Prison Break to Breakout Kings and Lie to Me, so we trust that his excellent creative pedigree extends to playlist curation too.

Scorpion airs Mondays at 9/8c on CBS.
