Exclusive: Eddie Izzard Gets Ultra Creepy in New POWERS Clip

If you thought Eddie Izzard was terrifying as Dr. Abel Gideon on NBC’s Hannibal, then hold on to your butts because he is deeply unnerving as the charismatic cult of personality-turned-supervillain Wolfe on Powers. After more than a decade in development, Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming‘s Powers has finally made its way to the small screen as the first original series on PlayStation Network. As you may have surmised from our recaps thus far, we’re big fans of the superhero crime drama, which manages to put a unique spin on what is fast becoming well-worn territory.

The fifth episode debuts tomorrow, but to help you get excited for it, we have an exclusive clip starring Eddie Izzard at his absolute creepiest. We’re talking full-body shiver levels of creep factor. Having made escape from The Shaft, the maximum security prison complex where he was being detained and temporarily lobotomized, Wolfe finds himself at odds with his one-time ward Christian Walker (Sharlto Copley). As has been hinted at previously, the two have a fair bit of history between them, and it looks like that bloody past is going to come back to haunt them in our exclusive clip.
