If you think Brother Blood was going away just because he “died” in the television show, then you don’t know the world of comic book tie-ins very well at all. In the current run of Arrow Season 2.5 comics, just as it sounds like it would, we’re catching up on the surprisingly busy few months following the end of Season 2’s TV arc and the beginning of Season 3’s. The Church of Blood is not going away just because Sebastian Blood and Deathstroke have been more or less put out of commission, not by a longbow shot. Oliver Queen couldn’t have expected to put down a whole uprising just by taking out the leaders, right? New leaders rise, and the super-powered blood of Slade Wilson’s followers is still a precious, head-crushing commodity.

Written by the TV show’s executive producer and showrunner Marc Guggenheim and TV show writer Keto Shimizu with art by Joe Bennett, Craig Yeung and Jim Charalampidis, Chapter 6 shows Oliver finally learning the truth about Brother Blood and Diggle getting trapped by the man himself. This issue will also see the first appearance of The Huntress in this comic book continuity, and we all know how great stuff happens when she’s around. Jeepers, things just aren’t going well for Oliver at all. No wonder he’s in such a foul mood all the time.
