Exclusive: BOOM! Studios Announces SLEEPY HOLLOW: ORIGINS One-Shot For April

Attention all you Sleepyheads out there! Can’t get enough of the adventures of Ichabod Crane and Lt. Abbie Mills? Are you dreading the upcoming end of season two and the long stretch till season three? Well, BOOM! Studios has got you covered, with an all-new Sleepy Hollow one-shot comic coming this April, Sleepy Hollow: Origins, written by Mike Johnson (Star Trek) with art by Matías Bergara (Sons of Anarchy) and with cover art by Joe Quinones (Howard the Duck.)

Sleepy Hollow: Origins will shed a little light on the back-stories and history of many of the show’s characters, and “bring to light the true origins of Abbie, Ichabod, Jenny, Henry, and the Hessian.” Writer Mike Johnson worked hand-in-hand with some of the writers of the hit Fox television series to ensure this is part of the official Sleepy Hollow canon.

You’ve watched Ichabod and Abbie battle the forces of Moloch and the Hessians, now see how they first got started with five short stories revealing the official origins of your favorite Sleepy Hollow characters. Travel back to the first days of Abbie on the job, Jenny in an institution, and Ichabod turning his back on Queen and Country for justice. Find out how Henry was born the horseman of the apocalypse War, and relive the Hessian’s life as Abraham. Sleepy Hollow: Origins hits your local comic shop on April 8th. In the meantime, the final issue of BOOM’s four issue Sleepy Hollow mini-series hits on January 28th.
