We really owe so much to YouTube. Think of all those long work hours after lunch made tolerable by goats screaming like people, or lengthy waits for the doctor made a little shorter by enjoying people accidentally cut down trees onto their house. Yes, YouTube has made it so much easier to avoid productivity, and to thank them the Late Late Show’s James Corden sang an ode to the video-sharing company, celebrating some of our favorite procrastinating-promoting stars.

Featuring YouTube sensations like the “Double-Rainbow Guy” and Rebecca Black, singer of the very misunderstood “Friday,” Corden works his way through some of the most popular clips in the site’s history, like Grumpy Cat and Chocolate Rain.

And on Friday August 21st, Corden’s show will broadcast from the YouTube Space in Los Angeles to help celebrate the website’s 10th anniversary. But the English-born host is not the first to comb the depths of YouTube for inspiration—Weezer’s 2009 video for Pork and Beans celebrated (and redeemed) loads of YouTube stars.

Just a couple of years ago the Gregory Brothers, of Auto-Tune the News fame, paid homage to the website on its 8th birthday.

If someone decides to make a YouTube video celebrating all the videos that celebrate YouTube, well, we might all wash ashore on Leonardo DiCaprio’s raw subconscious. (What, doesn’t everyone love Inception jokes?)

So what YouTube favorites deserve the recognition that can only be bestowed by song? Tell us and hopefully someone will make it happen, giving us an excuse to put that TPS report off for a few more days.
