Enhance Your ‘Imperial March’ Experience by Adding STAR WARS Sound FX!

When you think of iconic movie theme composers, John Williams should be the first person that springs to mind. From Jaws to Superman to Indiana Jones, Williams has created pieces that are almost as important as the characters they represent. Arguably his greatest triumph is the “Imperial March” from the Star Wars franchise.

Many people, from rock bands to marching bands to even a Cappella groups, have performed versions of what audiences hear whenever Lord Vader and his army of Stormtroopers enter a room. Rather than create a version using innovative instruments, Pablo Fernandez Eyre used THE MOVIES THEMSELVES to create this remix of the Imperial March.

Pablo took various sound effects from the original trilogy (he tried using sounds from the prequels, but many people that forced (no pun intended) themselves to forget the prequels existed couldn’t hear anything) and melded it with the original song. It started off sounding like he was attempting to redo the entire song with sound effects but decided to go the less “take forever and a day” approach. Regardless, the result was a very cool remix of an iconic song using the actual source material to enhance it.

You can check out more of Pablo’s videos on his website here.

So what do you think? Are there any other themes you’d like to receive this mash-up type treatment? Are you pleased this wasn’t the a dub-step version? Let me know on Twitter or sound off in the comments below.
