The holiday season is now officially upon us, and with that comes a metric ton of Christmas Specials and movies. Among them is Disney Channel‘s. all-new Ducktales Holiday Special, called âLast Christmas!â The classic series, which returned to the airwaves in a new incarnation in 2017, has been creating a new generation of fans, and ’90s kids who grew up with the original adventures of Scrooge McDuck and his three nephews are eating it up too. Disney has now released a special Christmas-themed opening credits for the special, which you can watch down below:
While the Christmasy opening credits are visually similar, give or take a handful of snowflakes here and there, the biggest difference is that whoever is singing the new holiday version is either A: the ghost of Frank Sinatra, or B: Seth Macfarlane. Or maybe it is someone who sounds a whole lot like either of them (we think option B is more likely). Who would have ever thought the guy who makes Family Guy would be lending his talents to a wholesome Disney kid’s cartoon? Strange times.
The new Holiday Special sends the whole Duckburg crew out on a big time-traveling adventure, with Uncle Scrooge, Huey, Dewey, Louie and the rest travelling to Christmas festivities from years past, A Christmas Carol style. This is sure to trigger Scrooge’s anti-holiday cheer tendencies in the very worst way. TheâLast Christmas!â episode of Ducktales will air on the Disney Channel on Saturday, December 1, at 7:30 a.m. EST.
