DUCKTALES Meets AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR in These Great Mash-up Posters

It’s hard to believe after spending so much time anticipating Avengers: Infinity War we’ve finally reached the point where we get to sit back and celebrate it. Disney is going to continue that celebration as long as possible (probably until July, when Ant-Man and the Wasp is released), and is using one of its most popular cartoons to do it. In celebration of “Duck Week,” featuring Lin-Manuel Miranda’s debut as Gizmoduck on DuckTales, Disney has re-released the Infinity War character posters that Howard the Duck would get framed.

Look, if we can buy a purple alien dead-set on “cleansing the universe,” then we can buy that the only heroes with a chance of stopping him are all anthropomorphic ducks. One would think Captain America and Winter Soldier wouldn’t look cool will bills and beards, but here we are. We’re also interested to see what Iron Duck-Spider (?) would look like with his mask on. It can’t be any weirder than Spider-Ham.

All things considered, Rocket as a duck feels like an odd choice. He’s already an animal, and there are dogs on DuckTales that might be a better fit! And Groot? Isn’t a tree a tree? We assume it’s so everyone has a matching look, so we are going to let it go, but we’re watching you, Disney!

Sometimes mash-ups are cheesy and just used to sell T-shirts online. But when a mashup is both done well AND done in-house? It’s hard to argue with success. Avengers: Infinity War is currently in theaters, and DuckTales is currently in the middle of airing new episodes on the Disney Channel.

So what do you think? Which posters would you want hanging up in your room? Let us know on Facebook or in the comments below.
