DJ Earworm Releases 2015 Super Mashup: “50 Shades of Pop”

Psssst… Hey. Hey you. Are you looking for some of that pure uncut pop music? ‘Cause DJ Earworm has what you’re jonesin’ for.

San Francisco-based mashup master DJ Earworm, AKA Jordan Roseman (perhaps the name used when his mom is calling him down for supper)  has released an annual mix of the year’s top pop music since 2007, and for 2015, he’s gone all out with a mashup of over 50 of our (and really everybody’s) favorite tracks. Entitled “50 Shades of Pop”, the slight euphoria-inducing super mashup includes all the Billboard-busters like Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Drake, and hello?!… no wait, I mean, hello… Adele.

Even if any one of the tracks from the year’s most popular artists didn’t make your toes tap, DJ Earworm’s mix is likely to do the trick. He’s expertly interwoven all of the of the different hits from different genres, and says of his assemblage that he “[tries] to get a feel of what is in the zeitgeist.” He also says that this year, “music has been going through a softer phase than it was a few years ago, so there’s that return of adult contemporary.” And even though the term “adult contemporary” reminds one of listening to Kenny G while waiting for a dental cleaning, DJ Earworm also says that this mix is “more eclectic than it was five years ago.” So we got that going for us, which is nice.
