I love what Comedy Central is doing with stand-up/sketch shows because most great stand-up comedians are also great at writing/telling funny stories with emphasis on visualization which makes it easier for them to translate stories and bits into scenes. I wouldn’t worry about not getting the pilot picked up because now more than ever it’s easier to bring something back or redirect it into another format like a web show (Burning Love) or web video (funnyordie).
