Defunct STAR WARS: BATTLEFRONT 3 Game Footage Surfaces on Reddit

Less than a month into 2016 and we already have more leaked footage of LucasArts’ canceled title, Star Wars: Battlefront 3. A Reddit user is claiming to have a working build of the game, and even uploaded some links–which have since been removed–that allow other fans to nab it. Even if the links were still up, you’d need an Xbox 360 dev kit to run it.

Unfortunately, the short clips aren’t embeddable, but there are three links you can check out. First, here’s a look at the build being booted up with title screen. Then we have a look at the character creation, and some action on Hoth. Keep in mind, these are incredibly short, but they still makes us wonder about what could have been. It’s important to remember that these are being posted on Reddit, so there will always be mysteries surrounding their legitimacy.

What is interesting, however, is that the title has become an extremely popular discussion point over the years. The project certainly appeared to be ambitious, which is why so many are saddened that the project never came to fruition.

Which leads us to the latest Star Wars Battlefront game. It didn’t quite live up to the dedicated fanbase’s expectations, but I felt it was a good start. Not overly ambitious, but that’s okay since it appears like the focus for Dice and EA with Star Wars Battlefront 2015 was to have it run smoothly while looking gorgeous. They definitely succeeded in doing that.

What do you guys think about these short snippets of the now defunct game? What did you think about the latest installment in the series? Do you agree with our review? Let us know in the comments below.
