Fans of Deadpool and Donald Glover alike were dismayed on Monday when news hit that FXX would be walking away from the Atlanta creator’s gestating animated series featuring the Merc with the Mouth. But that hasn’t stopped Glover from giving the world the Deadpool he thinks it deserves—on Wednesday morning, Glover “leaked” a full episode script for the would-be Deadpool series online.

Through a series of tweets, Glover posted the complete script for “Finale,†an episode that finds Deadpool coming to terms with the cancelation of his animated series while protecting Sudan, the last male northern white rhino on Earth.
In true Deadpool fashion, the title character breaks the fourth wall about the end of his show several times. Though this is the sort of thing we could easily imagine having seen in a Deadpool series, it seems as though Glover took this particular opportunity of the cancelation to express a little anger of his own.

As fans can see, the script has a different flavor of humor than the Deadpool in the film or comics, but he’s still recognizable as Marvel’s Merc with a Mouth. Glover nailed Deadpool’s personality and his irreverent approach to everything. We’re all pretty bummed that we won’t be seeing this series hit the screen, though we’re glad to at least have enjoyed this taste of Glover’s irreverent take on Deadpool.
